Early Readers – Why do I have bones?

Bones are a part of every body. This book explores and celebrates the skeletal system for early readers. The question in the title “Why do I have bones?” is never really answered, in favor of more generic statements such as “I have bones in my jaw.”

This is part of the My First Science Library. There is one sentence on each page, accompanied by a CGI skeleton. On the opposite page is a photograph of a child or children. The science is not much more advanced than the reading level, but for an early reader that has already realized that s/he prefers nonfiction to stories, this series can fill a gap.
