Picture Book – Rhyming Dust Bunnies

The multicolored dust bunnies rhyme all the time. Their names are Ed, Ned, Ted…and Bob. While Ed, Ned, and Ted rejoice in finding words that rhyme, Bob’s contributions inevitably lead to discord. The other dust bunnies point out that “Look out!” does not rhyme with bug, of example. The savvy child reader will quickly realize that Bob is not trying to rhyme with the others – he’s trying to warn them of danger.

The brightly colored dust bunnies are adorable in their enthusiasm. Young children who are just learning to rhyme will be thrilled to see their favorite new pasttime on display here, while all children will be tickled by Bob’s increasingly frantic attempts to get his brothers’ attention. The last few pages may lead to small children attempting to “free” dust bunnies from the vacuum cleaner, but that just makes life more exciting, doesn’t it?
